Antisemitism is a Significant Problem in Entertainment and Sports, Says New Report from Industry Group
Jody Gerson, Julie Greenwald, Ginnifer Goodwin, Selma Blair, Noa Kirel, Tom Rothman, Harvey Mason jr., Skyler Astin, Gregg Sulkin, Patricia Heaton, Diane Warren, Tracy-Ann Oberman among 400+ celebrities and entertainment industry professionals who signed an open letter rejecting attempts to banish Israel from the contest
LOS ANGELES (February 14, 2024) — More than 400+ leaders from the entertainment industry have signed an open letter released by the non-profit entertainment industry organization Creative Community For Peace in support of the European Broadcasting Union’s (EBU) public commitment to include Israel in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest.
The letter comes in response to others who have demanded that Israel be disinvited from the contest. The letter highlights Eurovision’s unique ability to unify people from diverse backgrounds and music’s capacity to effect positive change in the world. The letter states that the annual event, with more viewers than the Super Bowl, is a celebration of unity and should not be used as a tool for politics.
Scooter Braun said, “Music is a place for unity not division. It is a language that should always bring us together. Artists should never be discriminated against for who they are, who they love, or where they’re born. These boycott efforts do nothing but distract from the uplifting and unifying power of music – something we need now more than ever.”
Gene Simmons said, “Music unites people from all backgrounds. It’s the one language that everyone can understand. It’s a beautiful thing and a great way to bring people together. Those advocating to exclude an Israeli singer from Eurovision don’t move the needle towards peace, but only further divide the world.”
The statement is the first of its kind – a call from the entertainment industry unequivocally voicing support for Israel’s inclusion in Eurovision.
Mayim Bialik said, “After a horrendous violent attack on Israeli civilians, calls for boycotts and excluding Israeli artists from international events simply because they are Israeli is abhorrent and shameful. Targeting Israeli musicians in this way tarnishes the unifying spirit that is Eurovision.”
The over 400+ Signatories Include: Helen Mirren (Actress); Liev Schreiber (Actor); Boy George (Artist); Gene Simmons (Artist/Co-founder KISS & multi-hyphenate businessman); Mayim Bialik (Actress); Julianna Margulies (Actor/Producer/Author); Emmy Rossum (Actress); Debra Messing (Actress); Ginnifer Goodwin (Actress); Haim Saban (Chairman and CEO, Saban Capital Group); Scooter Braun (Founder/CEO, Hybe America); Selma Blair (Actress); Harvey Mason jr. (CEO of the Recording Academy); Gregg Sulkin (Actor); Skylar Astin (Actor); Julie Greenwald (Chairperson & CEO, Atlantic Records Group); Jody Gerson (Chairperson and CEO, Universal Music Publishing Group); Aaron Bay-Schuck (CEO/Co-Chairman Warner Records); Dan Rosen (President, Warner Music Australasia); Joshua Malina (Actor); Patricia Heaton (Actress and Producer); Noa Kirel (Artist); Jennifer Jason Leigh (Actress); David Draiman (Disturbed); Tom Arnold (Actor); Tracy-Ann Oberman (Actress); Sharon Osbourne (Manager, TV Personality); Tom Rothman (Chairman, Columbia Pictures); Diane Warren (Songwriter); Sherry Lansing (Former CEO of Paramount Pictures); Rick Rosen (Co-Founder, Endeavor); Ben Silverman (Chairman & Co-CEO, Propagate Content); Alison Kaye (President, SB Projects); Orly Marley (President, Tuff Gong Worldwide); Ynon Kreiz (Chairman and CEO, Mattel, Inc.); Gary Barber (Chairman and CEO, Spyglass Media Group); Raye Cosbert (Managing Director, Metropolis Music); David Levy (Partner, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment); Jacqueline Saturn (President, Virgin Music); John Ondrasik (Artist, Five For Fighting); Emmanuelle Chriqui (Actress); Samantha Ronson (Artist); Colin Lester OBE (Founder/Chairman JEM Music Group); David Renzer (Former CEO/Chairman Universal Music Publishing); Paul Kemsley (Manager, Nixxi Entertainment); Odeya Rush (Actress); Modi Wiczyk (Co-Founder and Co-CEO, MRC); and David Zedeck (Global Head of Music at UTA), amongst others, which you can see below.
“We have been shocked and disappointed to see some members of the entertainment community calling for Israel to be banished from the Contest for responding to the greatest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust,” the letter reads. “Under the cover of thousands of rockets fired indiscriminately into civilian populations, Hamas murdered and kidnapped innocent men, women, and children,” it continues.
On Eurovision’s impact, the letter states, “We believe that unifying events such as singing competitions are crucial to help bridge our cultural divides and unite people of all backgrounds through their shared love of music.” The letter concludes: “Those who are calling for Israel’s exclusion are subverting the spirit of the Contest and turning it from a celebration of unity into a tool of politics.”
CCFP’s Chairman, David Renzer, and Executive Director, Ari Ingel said, “We join entertainment industry leaders in rejecting the vilification of Israel on the global music stage. After thousands of innocent Israelis were killed, over 360 of them at a music festival as they danced in celebration of life, to see some respond in this fashion is shameful. We hope Eurovision stands firm in the face of this misguided, discriminatory boycott attempt. We want the world to know that the entertainment industry supports the Contest and all this year’s amazing participants, including Israel’s.”
OPEN LETTER
We, the undersigned members of the entertainment industry, are writing to express our support for Israel’s continued inclusion in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest.
We have been shocked and disappointed to see some members of the entertainment community calling for Israel to be banished from the Contest for responding to the greatest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.
October 7th was a day in which a music festival meant to celebrate life was attacked by Hamas and saw 364 innocent civilians killed, hundreds maimed and brutalized, over 40 festivalgoers taken hostage, and many raped.
Israel is fighting a war against a European Union-designated terrorist group that once again broke a ceasefire that day, and then went on to slaughter over 1,200 people. This current round of fighting is not a war that Israel wanted or started. To punish Israel would be an inversion of justice.
Israel also has a long and storied history in Eurovision. This includes winning the Contest in 1978, 1979, 1998, and 2018 and having a diverse group of contestants representing the country, including Palestinians, Ethiopians, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Israel then hosted the Contest in 1979, 1999, and 2019. In fact, Eurovision fans voted “Dare to Dream,” the 64th Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, the best Eurovision production of the decade.
Furthermore, we believe that unifying events such as singing competitions are crucial to help bridge our cultural divides and unite people of all backgrounds through their shared love of music.
The annual Eurovision Song Contest embodies this unifying spirit. Every year, millions of people across Europe and around the world join in a massive display of cultural exchange and celebration of music.
Those who are calling for Israel’s exclusion are subverting the spirit of the Contest and turning it from a celebration of unity into a tool of politics.
We support all of this year’s contestants as well as your decision to reject the calls to expel Israel from the Contest. We are looking forward to a successful and exciting Eurovision 2024.

On the heels of the release of an Open Letter in support of Israel signed by 2,000+ entertainment leaders, Creative Community For Peace (CCFP), held its fifth annual “Ambassadors Of Peace” (AOP) event.
AOP honors entertainment leaders who use their platforms to effect positive change in the world and who advance CCFP’s central belief that the arts and entertainment are a powerful force for building cultural bridges.
In addition to celebrating peace, this year’s event contained a more somber tone than in years past. AOP opened with a moment of silence for victims of the Hamas terrorist attack in Israel on October 7th and a collective rendition of “Oseh Shalom,” and the speeches highlighted not only the tenuous situation in Israel, but also the sense of anger, sadness, and fear that Jews around the world feel in this moment.
Gabriel Mann (Artist & Composer) singing Oseh Shalom.
This year’s honorees were Liev Schreiber, Actor, Director, Writer and Producer (A Small Light, Ray Donovan, Golda); Ezekiel Lewis, President, Epic Records (Artists include Future, Travis Scott, Black Eyed Peas); Kat Graham, Actress, Artist & UN High Commissioner for Refugees Goodwill Ambassador (The Vampire Diaries, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Trolls: TrollsTopia); Aaron Rosenberg, Partner, Myman Greenspan Fox Rosenberg Mobasser Younger & Light; and Gustavo Lopez, CEO, Saban Music Group (Artists include Don Omar, Chesca, Yubeili).
The event was held at the Beverly Hills private residence of Sam Schwartz (Co-principal, Gorfaine/Schwartz Agency).
Artists and entertainment professionals from across the industry were in attendance, including Grammy Award-winning artist will.i.am; Co-Founder of Endeavor Rick Rosen; CEO of Mattel Ynon Kreiz; CEO of the Recording Academy Harvey Mason jr.; Oscar-winning “Golda” Director Guy Nattiv; CEO/Co-Chairman of Warner Records Aaron Bay-Schuck; Songwriter Diane Warren; President of Music, Electronic Arts Steve Schnur; Chairperson of Epic Records Sylvia Rhone; Chairperson & CEO of Capitol Music Group Michelle Jubelirer; President of Virgin Records Jacqueline Saturn; Actress Odeya Rush; Chairman and CEO of Atlantic Music Group Julie Greenwald, and many others.
Ari Ingel (Executive Director, CCFP); Steve Schnur (Co-Founder of CCFP, Worldwide Executive & Music President, Electronic Arts); Harvey Mason jr. (CEO of the Recording Academy); Sylvia Rhone (Chairperson of Epic Records); Zeke Lewis (Honoree); David Renzer (Chairman & Co-Founder of CCFP, Former CEO/Chairman of Universal Music Publishing).
Artists and leaders paying tribute to this year’s honorees included Helen Mirren, Daniel Craig, John Legend, Swizz Beatz, Meghan Trainor, Ciara, Ryan Seacrest, Haim Saban, Deepak Chopra, and others.
CCFP believes in the power of music, sports, film, and television to bring people together and bridge cultural divides. The organization aims to counter antisemitism within the entertainment industry and galvanize support for Israel. By honoring those who use their influence to promote peace, CCFP hopes to highlight the positive impact of the arts and entertainment in creating a more harmonious world.

On receiving the award, Liev Schreiber reflected on the urgency of this moment, “Last week, a friend of mine shared an old Hasidic quote with me that took my breath away: ‘There is nothing so whole as a broken heart’… It seems to me that maybe that’s what’s being asked of each of us right now, to think and to act with a broken heart.”
Ari Ingel (Executive Director, CCFP); Ynon Kreiz (Chairman and CEO, Mattel, Inc.); Rick Rosen (Co-Founder, Endeavor); David Renzer (Chairman & Co-Founder of CCFP, Former CEO/Chairman of Universal Music Publishing).
Honoree Gustavo Lopez shared, “We are here after the horrific events of October 7th (jn Israel) hoping they never ever repeat themselves. In no place on our earth should this ever happen…join me for this to end soon and for peace to reign.”
Steve Schnur (Co-Founder of CCFP, Worldwide Executive & Music President, Electronic Arts); David Renzer (Chairman & Co-Founder of CCFP, Former CEO/Chairman of Universal Music Publishing); Julie Greenwald (Chairman and CEO of Atlantic Music Group); Ari Ingel (Executive Director, CCFP).
will.i.am (Artist, Producer) presents the Ambassadors of Peace award to Zeke Lewis.
CCFP Chairman, David Renzer shared, “To think that 260 innocent girls and young men were killed at a concert is beyond comprehension. It’s unspeakable. I know that you join me in the tears I’ve shed, and the tears we shed for all innocent victims. CCFP believes in coexistence and the power of music and the arts to unite. And that’s what we really have to hope to turn to in better times.”
Honoree Aaron Rosenberg said, “Every group of ‘other,’ whether large or small, deserves to have a homeland where they are free and safe to be ‘other’ without worrying about hate, without worrying about terror…We cannot stand idly by, we cannot stay silent and allow the hate and terror and false propaganda from others to wipe Israel off the map ‘from the river to the sea.’ Everyone, Israelis and Palestinians deserve, everyone deserves a homeland where they’re free and safe to raise their children in peace.”
Tori Kelly (Artist)
CCFP Executive Director Ari Ingel stated, “Americans are finally seeing what CCFP has been screaming about for years, that these anti-Israel groups and BDS activists aren’t interested in peace or coexistence…they’re interested in the destruction of Israel and the demonization of Jews. That’s what BDS is, that’s who these anti-Israel activists are.”
Honoree Ezekiel Lewis shared, “In pain and mourning, we come here tonight seeking peace…This room gives me hope, is a microcosm of what the world can be—people from all different religious and ethnic backgrounds uniting to stand for peace. This is why I value the mission of CCFP, creating an environment where the magic of education and understanding can happen between different communities…. Amy Schumer, Debra Messing, Julianna Margulies, Michael Douglas, Billy Crystal, Mayim Bialik, Chelsea Handler, Zooey Deschanel, Mandy Moore, Helen Mirren Join #ReleaseTheHostagesNow Campaign: A Call To Action
Celebrities and influencers around the globe are taking to social media in a coordinated action to demand the immediate release of the now 239+ hostages currently held by Hamas
–If you are an entertainer, celebrity, or influencer and would like to be part of this project, please fill out the form here [LINK]–
LOS ANGELES (October 30, 2023) —Today, a coalition of celebrities launched a campaign to highlight the now 239+ innocent civilians currently held hostage by Hamas terrorists in Gaza. The campaign, #ReleaseTheHostagesNow, was organized in part by Creative Community For Peace (CCFP), an entertainment industry non-profit organization; Nina Tassler (television executive and former Chairwoman of CBS Entertainment); and Emilio Schenker (CEO, Sipur Studios), in full cooperation with the official Hostages and Missing Families Forum.
The viral campaign, which has already gained significant attention, hopes to leverage entertainment leaders’ social media audiences to galvanize international support for the hostages and their families, and ultimately to expedite their release from captivity.
This campaign serves as a stark reminder of the terrorist attack suffered by Israel, emphasizing the urgent need for countries like Qatar and Turkey to press Hamas to release the hostages.
Entertainment leaders Amy Schumer, Debra Messing, Julianna Margulies, Michael Douglas, Billy Crystal, Mayim Bialik, Mandy Moore, Chelsea Handler, Sharon Osbourne, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Zooey Deschanel, Elizabeth Banks, Jerry O’Connell, Joshua Malina, Alyssa Milano, Chuck Norris, Phil Rosenthal, Dr. Phil, Dean Cain, Kristen Chenoweth, Josh Peck, Juliette Lewis, Howie Mandel, Marg Helgenberger, Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham, Constance Zimmer, Helen Mirren, Jamie Lee Curtis, and many others are among the hundreds of people using their platforms to amplify the voices of those who have been silenced. Calling upon people around the world to advocate for those who cannot share their own stories. Together, we must relentlessly fight for the freedom of these innocent civilians and demonstrate our solidarity in the face of such injustices.
Mayim Bialik shared, “This urgent campaign underscores the need for the international community to put pressure on the states that have influence with Hamas to free these individuals from captivity. It is vital that the world does not forget the faces of these innocent victims – they are the reason Israel continues to fight this war on terror and they are the reason the world must take a stand against this hatred and say NO MORE.”
Julianna Marguiles added, “With every passing hour, the health and safety of each hostage becomes more tenuous. We hope this campaign brings their stories to life, offers the families solace knowing they aren’t alone, and moves us one step closer to their safe release. With each share, like, and comment of support, the world unites against terrorism and in support of peace.”
The now 239+ kidnapped hostages represent the human toll of terrorism, and each participating celebrity and influencer is sharing a different image of an innocent person demanding their immediate release. Tragically, the official number of hostages continues to rise. Yet, due to the safety concerns for the hostages still in captivity, and the fluid situation, only the names and faces of the known victims are being shared.
CCFP Executive Director, Ari Ingel stated, “We must use every tool at our disposal to support these innocent victims of terror. These now 239+ hostages are from 25 different countries and range from toddlers who are just a few months old to Holocaust survivors in their late 80’s. Shamefully, posters of the kidnapped around the world have been torn down in antisemitic hatred. These are posters no one can tear down.”
The campaign calls on the world to stand against terrorism and to express unwavering support for the immediate release of these hostages.

Gal Gadot, Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Pine, Mayim Bialik, Liev Schreiber, Amy Schumer, Michael Douglas, Jerry Seinfeld, Helen Mirren, Debra Messing, Among 2000+ Entertainment Leaders Standing With Israel
Haim Saban, Irving Azoff, Ynon Kreiz, Jody Gerson, Mark Hamill, Rick Yorn, Howie Mandel, Julian Edelman, Antoine Fuqua, Billy Porter among 1000+ celebrities and entertainment executives to sign open letter condemning Hamas and calling for the return of hostages
LOS ANGELES (October 12, 2023) — More than 2000 leaders from the entertainment industry have signed an open letter released by the non-profit entertainment industry organization Creative Community For Peace in support of Israel. The open letter calls on the entertainment community to speak out forcefully against Hamas, to support Israel, to refrain from sharing misinformation about the war, and do whatever is in their power to urge the terrorist organization to return the innocent hostages to their families.
The letter comes in response to Hamas’ heinous terrorist attack on Israel. In addition to the 1,200+ Israelis murdered, citizens of the US, UK, Canada, France, Thailand, Nepal, Russia, Ukraine, Cambodia, Germany, Philippines, Chile, Brazil, Italy, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and Ireland have been identified as either missing or killed.
Gal Gadot shared, “My heart is aching for the lives lost and families shattered. I’m praying for everyone who has been affected by Hamas’ terrorism and brutality. And I hope that the world remains steadfast in their support of the Israeli people.”
The statement is the first of its kind – a call from the entertainment industry unequivocally voicing support for Israel and condemning Hamas’ terrorism.
Haim Saban added, “In the aftermath of the barbaric killing of more than 1,200 Israelis, we in the Hollywood community and around the world must stand with Israel as it defends itself against a terrorist regime in Gaza that seeks Israel’s destruction.”

Tracy-Ann Oberman stated, “I am filled with sadness and anger at the growing antisemitism that is being fueled on the back of this horror. But even though we may feel broken as a people we are also resilient. We will survive as we always have.”
“The nightmare that Israelis have feared for decades became a reality as Hamas terrorists infiltrated Israeli cities and towns,” the statement reads. “Under the cover of thousands of rockets fired indiscriminately into civilian populations, Hamas murdered and kidnapped innocent men, women, and children,” it continues.”
As the war will inevitably continue, the letter warns, “Social media will be overrun by an orchestrated misinformation campaign spearheaded by Iran”. The letter urges “everyone to remember the horrific images that came out of Israel and to not amplify or fall for their propaganda.”
CCFP’s Chairman, David Renzer, and Executive Director, Ari Ingel shared, “we join entertainment industry leaders horrified at the loss of life in cities, towns, and at a celebratory music festival in southern Israel. Sadly, only now, after hundreds of innocent lives have been lost, does the world comprehend Hamas’ barbarity. As nations around the globe joined together against the savagery of ISIS, the world must continue to support Israel as they respond to the savagery of Hamas.”
FULL OPEN LETTER
The nightmare that Israelis have feared for decades became a reality as Hamas terrorists infiltrated Israeli cities and towns.
Under the cover of thousands of rockets fired indiscriminately into civilian populations, Hamas murdered and kidnapped innocent men, women, and children. They kidnapped and murdered infants and the elderly. They raped women and mutilated their bodies. They paraded their bodies through the streets and on social media, and cowardly attacked the Supernova Music Festival – bringing death and destruction to an event celebrating friendship and love.
This is terrorism. This is evil. There is no justification or rationalization for Hamas’ actions. These are barbaric acts of terrorism that must be called out by everyone. They are a terrorist organization whose leaders call for the murder of Jews everywhere.
CCFP calls on our friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry to speak out forcefully against Hamas and do whatever is in their power to urge the terrorist organization to return the innocent hostages to their families.
As Israel takes the necessary steps to defend its citizens in the coming days and weeks, social media will be overrun by an orchestrated misinformation campaign spearheaded by Iran. We urge everyone to remember the horrific images that came out of Israel and to not amplify or fall for their propaganda.
Our thoughts are with all those experiencing unfathomable levels of fear and violence, and we hope for the day when Israelis and Palestinians can live side by side in peace.

15 Organizations send letter to the Chairman and CEO of Bertelsmann highlighting Waters’ history of antisemitism and bigotry.
LOS ANGELES (July 19, 2023) — Creative Community For Peace (CCFP) released a letter calling on Bertelssman Music Group (BMG) to reconsider its business relationship with Roger Waters. The non-profit entertainment industry organization was joined by 14 of the world’s leading Jewish organizations.
CCFP is a non-profit entertainment industry organization comprised of prominent members of the entertainment community who’ve come together to promote the arts as a means to peace and to educate about rising antisemitism.
The letter comes in response to Roger Waters’ recent concerts in Germany where he performed in a Nazi-like uniform and compared a Palestinian-American journalist to Anne Frank.
“We believe that artists, given their massive influence in the world today, have a unique and important responsibility to speak out against bigotry. Mr. Waters has repeatedly shown that he’s determined to do the opposite – and would instead use his voice, his platform, and his public microphone to fan the flames of hatred,” the letter reads.
The following organizations signed onto the letter:
The letter also highlights the growing consensus about Waters’ dangerous behavior among governmental institutions, noting: “the US State Department also stated that Waters’ recent concert “contained imagery deeply offensive to Jewish people and minimized the Holocaust.” The State Department added that, “The artist in question has a long track record of using antisemitic tropes to denigrate Jewish people.”
“For over a decade, Roger Waters has peddled and promoted antisemitism and leveraged his immense platform to spread his hateful views to millions worldwide. As we witness the continued rise of antisemitism, his words and actions are unacceptable. Our letter demonstrates the Jewish community’s concern that corporations cannot sit idly by while their business partners promote hate. We hope BMG reflects on their historical role with antisemitism and reexamines their relationship with Mr. Waters,” stated Ari Ingel, Director of Creative Community for Peace.
Creative Community for Peace aims to promote the arts and culture as a means to peace and to counter and educate the entertainment industry about rising antisemitism. To learn more about their work, visit www.creativecommunityforpeace.com.
OPEN LETTER
Dear Mr. Rabe,
As you may have seen, BMG’s client Roger Waters recently caused an uproar in Germany when he donned a Nazi-like uniform and compared Shireen Abu Akleh — a Palestinian-American journalist who tragically lost her life while working in a war zone — to Anne Frank, a young girl whom Nazis murdered for simply for being a Jew.
In response to this most recent incident, the EU Commission Coordinator on Combating Antisemitism and Fostering Jewish Life and the United States Special Envoy for Monitoring and Combating Antisemitism, both loudly condemned Mr. Waters.
The US State Department also stated that Waters’ recent concert “contained imagery deeply offensive to Jewish people and minimized the Holocaust.” The State Department added that, “The artist in question has a long track record of using antisemitic tropes to denigrate Jewish people.”
Unfortunately, the State Department is 100% correct, as this is just the latest in a long list of troubling antisemitic incidents by Mr. Waters.
In the past, he’s described UK Labour leader Keir Starmer as being controlled by Jewish organizations, he’s flown pig-shaped balloons emblazoned with the Star of David at his concerts, he’s falsely blamed Israel for the death of George Floyd, and he’s openly called for the destruction of the State of Israel.
All of this has happened at a time when antisemitic incidents are rising at alarming rates around the world.
We believe that artists, given their massive influence in the world today, have a unique and important responsibility to speak out against bigotry. Mr. Waters has repeatedly shown that he’s determined to do the opposite – and would instead use his voice, his platform, and his public microphone to fan the flames of hatred.
Given Bertelsmann’s unique history – specifically its actions during WWII– we find it troubling that the company would continue to profit from this relationship, especially when you just recently demonstrated that antisemitism should have no home on your roster.
We respectfully urge you to reconsider BMG’s professional ties with Roger Waters and look forward to your reply.

Mila Kunis, Debra Messing, Mayim Bialik, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Aaron Bay-Schuck, Sherry Lansing, Emmanuelle Chriqui, and Haim Saban among 200+ celebrities and entertainment executives sign open letter calling for the removal of the antisemitic documentary and book recently promoted by Kyrie Irving
LOS ANGELES (November 10 2022) — More than 200 leaders from the entertainment industry have signed an open letter released by the non-profit entertainment industry organization Creative Community For Peace calling on Jeff Bezos, James Daunt, and other leaders at Amazon and Barnes & Noble to remove the antisemitic documentary and book, “Hebrews to N**roes” from their respective platforms. Since Kyrie Irving posted a Tweet with a link to the documentary and book, it has become a bestseller. Both Amazon and Barnes & Noble have refused to remove the title and continue to profit from its bigotry.
Mila Kunis (Actress), Debra Messing (Actress), Mayim Bialik (Actress), Sherry Lansing (Former CEO of Paramount Pictures), Tracy-Ann Oberman (Actress), Emmanuelle Chriqui (Actress), Haim Saban (Chairman & CEO, Saban Capital Group), Orly Marley (President, Tuff Gong Worldwide), Rick Rosen (Co-Founder, Endeavor), David Draiman (Frontman, Disturbed), Nina Tassler (Producer and Partner/Co-Founder, PatMa Productions); Diane Warren (Songwriter, Producer), Iliza Shlesinger (Comedian), and Ben Silverman (Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Propagate Content) are among 200+ signers of the open letter, which was made public today.
Addressed to leaders at Amazon and Barnes and Noble, the letter reads, “After more than a week of private messages and public calls to take the fallacious book and movie “Hebrews to N**roes” from your sites, you have so far refused to act.”
The statement’s signers are among the first in the entertainment industry to publicly and collectively call for the removal of the film, hoping to eliminate future radicalization and indoctrination.
“At a time in America where there are more per capita hate crimes against Jews than any other minority, overwhelmingly more religious-based hate crimes against the Jewish people than any other religion, and more hate crimes against the Jewish people in New York than any other minority, where a majority of American Jews live, it is unacceptable to allow this type of hate to foment on your platforms,” the letter continues.
“Respected platforms and companies like Amazon and Barnes & Noble have a choice,” said Ari Ingel, Director of Creative Community for Peace. “They can either continue to profit off of hatred and antisemitism, while turning a blind eye to the fears of the Jewish community, or they can choose to be an ally, and stand on the right side of history. While free speech is vital, corporations don’t need to help facilitate the spread of dangerous conspiracy theories that threaten the Jewish community. We implore them to take the prudent, responsible steps needed to remove this content.”

OPEN LETTER
To Jeff Bezos, James Daunt, and the leaders at Amazon and Barnes & Noble:
After more than a week of private messages and public calls to take the fallacious book and movie “Hebrews to N**roes” from your sites, you have so far refused to act.
The book and movie, and its contents, have been shared by several high-profile individuals causing tremendous harm to the Jewish community while spreading dangerous misinformation to an impressionable public that may be susceptible to its propaganda.
These works promote numerous antisemitic tropes and conspiracy theories that have no basis in fact, including manufactured Hitler quotes, false claims of Jewish power and control, that the Jewish people fabricated the Holocaust, and that the Jewish people are fake Jews.
The claims made in these works have led to the persecution and murder of millions of Jews throughout the centuries.
Over the past week, the book has become a bestseller on both sites. There has also undoubtedly been a spike in viewership of the movie on Amazon. Your companies are profiting from hate.
At a time in America where there are more per capita hate crimes against Jews than any other minority, overwhelmingly more religious-based hate crimes against the Jewish people than any other religion, and more hate crimes against the Jewish people in New York than any other minority, where a majority of American Jews live, it is unacceptable to allow this type of hate to foment on your platforms.
We, the undersigned, demand that you immediately remove these works from your sites.

LOS ANGELES (Oct 19 2022) — More than 300 leaders from the entertainment industry have signed an open letter released by the non-profit entertainment industry organization Creative Community For Peace in support of the Tel Aviv International LGBTQ+ Film Festival (TLVFest) and the participating filmmakers.
The entertainment leaders stand united in rejecting the cultural boycott of Israel as yet another roadblock to peace and its subversion of art for nefarious political purposes. As the LGBTQ+ Community around the world continues to face immense discrimination, it is particularly shameful to boycott an event that gives a voice to their stories and struggles.
The open letter comes in response to repeated attempts by anti-Israel activists to boycott a film festival that celebrates international voices from the LGBTQ+ community, including the Middle East. TLVFest represents the epitome of coexistence, and regularly features Palestinian films.
“In Israel, movies have the unique power to bring together Jews, Arabs, and people of all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds in collaboration under a shared love of the arts, working together towards the common goal of telling their stories, and building bridges of compassion and understanding,” the letter reads.
Signatories to the open letter include: Neil Patrick Harris (Actor); Dame Helen Mirren (Actress); Mila Kunis (Actress); Zach Quinto (Actor); Mayim Bialik (Actress); Sia (Artist and Songwriter); Debra Messing (Actress); Emmanuelle Chriqui (Actress); Aaron Bay-Schuck (CEO/Co-Chairman Warner Record); Jeremy Piven (Actor, Comedian); Marty Adelstein (CEO Tomorrow Studios); Jonathan Tucker (Actor); Billy Porter (Actor); Gene Simmons (Artist, KISS); Greg Berlanti (Producer, Director); Haim Saban (Chairman & CEO, Saban Capital Group); Iliza Shlesinger (Comedian); Robbie Rogers (Athlete); Dana Goldberg (Chief Creative Officer of Skydance); Simon Callow (Actor); Tracy Ann Oberman (Actress); Lance Bass (Artist); David Burtka (Actor); John Benjamin Hickey (Actor); Rick Rosen (Co-Founder of Endeavor); Ben Silverman (Chairman & Co-CEO, Propagate Content); Melissa Rivers (Actress, TV Host); Paul Feig (Actor/Director); Michael Rotenberg (Partner, 3 Arts Entertainment); Eric Balfour (Actor); Rachel Riley (TV Host); Richard Benjamin (Actor/Director); Diane Warren (Songwriter); and Sherry Lansing (Former CEO of Paramount Pictures) amongst many others.

The letter’s signatories believe strongly in the power of film to bring people together, transcend boundaries, broaden awareness, and affect positive societal change. They also call on their friends and colleagues to join in expressing support for a successful TLVFest 2022.
“We stand united with all the participating filmmakers against the divisive rhetoric espoused by boycott activists who seek to misinform, bully and intimidate artists into removing their films from the festival or shame them for participating in the festival,” the letter continues.
“Anti-Israel boycott activists continually use incendiary language and misrepresent the facts to try and bully filmmakers into backing out. Their reckless use of misinformation only furthers hostility and decreases the chance for peace, which all of us so urgently desire,” stated Ari Ingel, Director of Creative Community for Peace.
Ingel added that “instead of amplifying the voices of coexistence and peace trying to effect real change on the ground, those who support the calls for a boycott are only creating more division and fear.”
Creative Community for Peace aims to promote the arts and culture as a means to peace and to counter and educate the entertainment industry about rising antisemitism. To learn more about their work, visit www.creativecommunityforpeace.com.
OPEN LETTER
We, the undersigned, believe that artistic freedom and creative expression are critical to a healthy, diverse, and inclusive society.
Films have the power to bring people together, transcend boundaries, broaden awareness, and affect positive societal change.
In Israel, movies have the unique power to bring together Jews, Arabs, and people of all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds in collaboration under a shared love of the arts, working together towards the common goal of telling their stories, and building bridges of compassion and understanding.
The annual Tel Aviv International LGBTQ Film Festival (TLVFest) embodies this spirit of unity and truth, featuring films from filmmakers of all backgrounds, including Palestinians.
For this reason, we reject any attempt to boycott TLVFest – Israel’s largest LGBTQ Film Festival — which works to showcase the stories of LGBTQ people globally and create a brighter future for LGBTQ people both inside Israel and around the world.
We stand united with all the participating filmmakers against the divisive rhetoric espoused by boycott activists who seek to misinform, bully and intimidate artists into removing their films from the festival or shame them for participating in the festival.
We believe that anyone who works to subvert TLVFest merely adds yet another roadblock to freedom, justice, equality, and peace that we all desperately desire, especially for the LGBTQ community that is persecuted throughout the Middle East and around the world.
Artists should never be silenced, and art should not be subverted for political goals.
We call on our friends and colleagues worldwide to join us in expressing their support for a successful and exciting TLVFest 2022.

Antisemitism is a Significant Problem in Entertainment and Sports, Says New Report from Industry Group
Creative Community for Peace details practical reforms necessary to address rising antisemitism promulgated by entertainers, entertainment companies and platforms, athletes, and fans.
LOS ANGELES—Today Creative Community for Peace (CCFP) released the first-ever report focused exclusively on antisemitism within the entertainment industry, documenting how this age-old hatred has festered across film, television, music, professional sports, and on digital platforms.
The report, Fomenting Hate: How The Entertainment and Sports Industries Can Address the Growing Threat of Antisemitism, documents hundreds of examples of antisemitism, outlining how content from studios, influencers, and celebrities filters through the cultural landscape and shapes public perceptions.
The report notes that “there is a feedback loop between the entertainment industry, influencers, and the public. And entertainment leaders are not effectively regulating their products or protecting their Jewish employees and consumers from hate, targeting and discrimination.”
CCFP recommends practical reforms that the entertainment industry must take to address this issue. Notably, CCFP encourages studios and digital platforms to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism, following the U.S. State Department and 37 countries worldwide who have done the same. CCFP also recommends that studios implement a framework for creating more accurate and nuanced representations of Jewish people in media.
For years, CCFP has worked closely with digital platforms to identify and remove antisemitic content. This report outlines the complexity and extent of the challenge that remains in this work today.
“The entertainment industry drives public perception, and thus, has a significant responsibility to avoid perpetuating harmful stereotypes,” said CCFP Director Ari Ingel. “This report shows how much work needs to be done within our industry. For instance, usually unaware, streaming platforms, television shows, and films disseminate and promulgate antisemitic tropes. In a society that’s increasingly become more sensitive to fair and accurate representation, the impact on Jews often doesn’t count.”
120+ celebrities and entertainment industry professionals to sign open letter in support of artistic freedom and against boycott of Sydney Festival.
More than 120 leaders from the entertainment industry have signed an open letter released by the non-profit entertainment industry organisation Creative Community For Peace in support of the Sydney Festival and participating artists.
After suffering through two years of border closures, extended COVID lockdowns, the most catastrophic bushfires on record and devastating floods, this iconic Festival, celebrating its 45th year, is supposed to celebrate Sydney’s diverse history and rich culture, reuniting Sydney as a community.
The open letter comes in response to attempts by anti-Israel activists to boycott the Sydney Festival because the Israeli Embassy in Australia is sponsoring the performance of a world-renowned Israeli dance ensemble.
The entertainment leaders stand united in rejecting the cultural boycott of Israel as yet another roadblock to peace and its subversion of art for nefarious political purposes.
“While art can reflect politics, and artists can choose to reflect their politics in their own art, art should never become subservient to politics and artists and cultural events should never be forced to be politicised,” the letter reads.
Signatories to the open letter include: Gene Simmons: Artist, KISS; Aaron Bay-Schuck: CEO/Co-Chairman Warner Record; Diane Warren: Songwriter/Producer; Craig Emanuel: Partner, Paul Hastings LLC; Emile Sherman: Co-Founder, See-Saw Films; Rick Rosen: Co-Founder, Endeavor; Ben Silverman: Chairman & Co-CEO, Propagate Content; Orly Marley: President, Tuff Gong Worldwide; Jacqueline Saturn: President, Virgin Music; Stephan Elliot: Director; Emmanuelle Chriqui: Actress; Dan Rosen: Music Executive; Michael Rotenberg: Partner, 3 Arts Entertainment; David Zedeck: Global Head of Music at UTA; Gary Gersh: President, Global Touring, A.E.G.; David Draiman: Artist, Frontman of Disturbed; Haim Saban: Chairman & CEO, Saban Capital Group; and Sherry Lansing: Former CEO of Paramount Pictures. A full list of all the signatories can be seen below.
The letter’s signatories believe strongly in the power of art to bring people together, transcend boundaries, broaden awareness, and affect positive societal change. They also call on their friends and colleagues to join in expressing support for the artists of the Sydney Festival and against this counterproductive boycott call.
“We, the undersigned, believe the cultural boycott movement of the Sydney Festival is an affront to both Palestinians and Israelis who are working to advance peace through compromise, exchange, and mutual recognition. While we all may have differing opinions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the best path to peace, we all agree that a cultural boycott is not the answer.” the letter continues.
“The organisers of the Sydney Festival boycott intentionally misrepresent the truth about Israel and make provocative statements, to try and bully artists into backing out of the festival. Their messages deceptively involve an element of dishonesty and deny the truth of Jewish indigeneity to the land of Israel. Their actions only further hostility and dampen hope for peace, which all of us so urgently desire,” stated Ari Ingel, Director of Creative Community for Peace.
Mr. Ingel added that “the Sydney Festival is a beautiful event celebrating Sydney’s diverse and rich culture – bringing the entire community together. Unfortunately, it’s now being used for political purposes to divide, rather than unite. The boycott movement is also counterproductive and instead of amplifying the voices of coexistence trying to effect real change on the ground, those who support the calls for a boycott are only creating more hostility, division, and mistrust.”
Creative Community for Peace aims to promote the arts and culture as a means to peace and to counter and educate the entertainment industry about rising antisemitism. To learn more about their work, visit www.creativecommunityforpeace.com.
OPEN LETTER
We, the undersigned, believe that cultural events are vitally important vehicles to bring people together of different backgrounds under a shared love of the arts.
The annual Sydney Festival embodies this unifying power. Every year, thousands of Australians make common cause in a massive display of cultural exchange and celebration of our diverse cultures and histories.
Unfortunately, this year, the spirit of the Festival is under attack by those calling for a boycott because the Israeli Embassy is sponsoring a world renowned Israeli dance ensemble. This call for a boycott turns the festival from an opportunity for unity into a weapon of division.
We also reject the boycott activist claims that Jews are not indigenous to the land of Israel. The Jewish people have over a 3,000 year connection to the land of Israel, and many Jewish families have lived in the land for hundreds of generations. This fact does not deny any other groups claims of indigeneity.
While art can reflect politics, and artists can choose to reflect their politics in their own art, art should never become subservient to politics and artists and cultural events should never be forced to be politicized.
We believe the cultural boycott movement is an affront to both Palestinians and Israelis who are working to advance peace through compromise, exchange, and mutual recognition.
While we all may have differing opinions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the best path to peace, we all agree that a cultural boycott is not the answer.
As Nick Cave stated: “The cultural boycott of Israel is cowardly and shameful. Israel is a real, vibrant, functioning democracy – yes, with Arab members of parliament – and so engaging with Israelis, who vote, may be more helpful than scaring off artists or shutting down means of engagement.”
We call on all our friends and colleagues in the entertainment community to express their support for an exciting and successful Sydney Festival 2022 and to purchase a ticket and attend the festival itself to understand the power of arts to bring people together first hand.
